Dancing Fools

Nese Zutso

Materials: Rigid Polyurethane Resin, Radiata Pine, 0.4mm Latex

The configuration of the piece alludes to two ‘fools’ dancing to their own rhythm without adhering to the religious laws of dancing. At a deeper level the project was developed on a similar approach of creating the piece without strictly conforming to the conventions of making.
This piece tries to form a dialogue between two different materials which transitions smoothly. The transition between the radiata pine dowels and the white plastic resin was created using stretched latex moulds. Wooden jigs were created to stretch and grip the latex mould in place which would then be filled with two parts liquid resin to solidify into a joint.
