Materials: Resin, Walnut Timber
This project tried to make a sense of void through making a void geometry with some solid materials. The hollowed geometrical structure was the base of a coffee under the glass cover, which made objects above it ‘float’. Joints of the framework were made of clear resin. 3D print was used to build the prototype of the joint, and silicone was used to make the negative mould for the mass production of the 12 resin joints. Connections the walnut frame were physically reinforced but visually void.
